HaloBoards.com is looking to sponsor a team for MLG 07!

I've been in contact with a few teams, but I wanted to make an official announcement about it. We haven't selected the team to represent the site yet, so if you believe your team is good enough or worthy of a sponsorship for MLG's 07 season let me know.

We will be commiting at least the entry fee for the entire team, but may provide more sponsorship money based on the team's finishing placement in events. Another aspect of being on the team that is sponsored by HaloBoards.com, will allow you (as players on the team), the opportunity to offer Halo lessons on HaloBoards.com with our new lessons system! Currently, I am the only one in the lessons system, so if you'd like to purchase lessons from me, simply navigate to the lessons system and check it out. The only things required to purchase lessons are a free HaloBoards.com account (all you need to do is register to get one, if you aren't already a member of the site.) and a paypal account.

If your team is selected to represent HaloBoards.com, being a part of the team will give you the opportunity to help pay for the rest of your expenses to make it to events. A percentage of each lesson will be kept by HaloBoards.com for site expenses etc. (I'd like to come to some events to coach), but the rest will go to you to help cover the cost of each trip.

In any case not every detail has been ironed out, but let everyone know, we're looking for a team to sponsor. I'm primarily interested in players that have had previous tournament experience and are looking to get a financial boost to help them make it to the various MLG events.

This thread will be updated as details are provided. Spread the word. We're looking to sponsor a team for the season opener.

Edit: MLG's new policy on team naming may have thrown a wrench into our plans for a team to represent the site. I'm working on figuring something out now.

We have many people here forming new teams, so I'm sure this will get tons of attention! I love the new layout! The new navigation bar and Lessons system look awesome! I'm gonna miss my quick links though :/ Great improvements, and the new lesson system will get tons of people to the site, them wanting lessons from you

lol, well I had to remove quicklinks for the lessons button, and I didn't want to just put another button in there as it would mess up the look of the site for our friends on 800 x 600 computers.

I did however move quicklinks into the sidebar though, as you can see. It should work the exact same way

As for lessons from me, I just put them in there more as an example, I think more people will be interested in lessons from the team members.

One thing I did notice is MLG's new policy on team naming though and suffice it to say, this is throwing a wrench in my plans for both the name of the team and other ideas I had.

how will the teams find out who is chosen and how will youe be choosing the team to sponsor?

Chris, you know where I am with all this; seeing as we've been talking about it for quite some time. Just keep me in the loop with whats going on so I can help out.

Also, even if my team doesnt end up being sponsored, I'd still love to do lessons on here for anyone who wanted them from me.
