Yah, I'll let you know what's up. Did you see that news announcement at MLGpro.com though? About team names? That is the main thing that is screwing up the plans currently.

Team HB (just abbreviate it, when people ask what it stands for you say haloboards.com) HB is not a corporation/sponsor, does not have .net/.com/etc. in it. it isn't explicit or any of the other stuff.

Team HB

wear apparel (if your doing that i dunno if you are)

have your players play as HB _____

ex. HB Ogre 1

you could do that

Edit : since you can't have "Team" in your team name you could simply be called HB. or Hboards, HaloB etc.

as long as it isnt HaloBoards or haloboards.com

Yea, I saw it. What MonK suggested isnt necessarily a bad idea... though, without being able to use the word 'Team' int he name, the team name 'HB' is kinda... anticlimactic... if you ask me.

If you want me to do lessons, I can start those ASAP. I could certainly use a little extra $$ to fund my trip to Charlotte.

They said you can't even have an acronym that represents a company or website, so I'm not sure that would work either. Overall it's just a huge blow to the plans I had for this sponsorship and to any other smaller company / site looking to give money to a team to go to events.

yeah but they said you can still play with that acronym in front of your name, so you could still play as HB Ogre 1,you just cant be called HB. what i think a good name would be is TheHaloGods or just HaloGod, that is a name they would allow and it is also one of your websites (thehalogod.com) if you just put all of these things on that site or merge these 2 sites that could work.

another possiblity with that name would be to have a huge ad for this site on thehalogod.com for haloboards.com and then both sites would get recognition and support.

just trying to think outside the box
