What will the next Halo game be?

What will the next Halo game be? I know this has been discussed by many but I wanted to start an official thread.

Besides Halo Wars what do you believe will be the next Halo game released?

I just hope it will continue the story where Halo 3 ended. The war is over, which means the trilogy is over, but another story is about to begin (I hope that:P).

Oh, and only Halo 1 pistol, Halo 2 BR and Halo 1 sniper.

I have no idea what to predict or what to hope for. My only wish is that it stays relatively the same(doesnt switch to a cod 4 type game).

Im not to bothered what it consists of or what the story line is about. I Would hope they at least make the so called Legendary difficulty next to impossible just so the single player/co-op story is worth playing and concentrating on.

Its pretty hard as it is when you play single player, but maybe they should add a little difficulty for co-op. It wouldnt be worth it or fun for me if it was impossible to beat.

Oh yeah i agree there, when i say impossible i dont mean like "totally unbeatable". But like, H2 legondary was fantatstic, unless you were/are awesome at the game, you were bound to die withing say 10mins or so. Compare that to H3 and you felt like legondary on H3 was like heroic for H2 (my opinion)

While im not going to ***** and moan about it, I just feel, that since bungie are continuing the "halo" title, they should at least revert back to level of difficulty that keeps the player emmerced and wanting to play it over and over untill they can finish, and even go back to a level they liked to play.

Eg, H2, in campaign the level where you are on earth, on legondary was awesome, due to the enemy snipers. That was my favorite level and no matter how many times i played it, i still managed to get killed, even though i knew where the jackels would be.

In short, basically, im saying i would like to see the next instalment, whatever it is, live up to and be worth of the Halo name. for me H3 was a tad of a letdown in some respects, but good in others.

exactly, now adays any legit sergeant can even beat legendary, its not hard, they need to up the diffuculty in the next one, or maybe, after legendary diffuculty they can make an even harder one called "mythic" or something.
