Wow, nice database of glitches of teh weapons. Also, I find this way easier to quadshot, if anyone has trouble. RRX BYY RRX - I find it somehow easier, and it looks a lot cooler for montages etc.

BXB is very unreliable with a full clip. But when you don't have a full clip, BXB is easy.

Here are the rules for deciding how to kill an opponent:
Close Combat
- If you have a full clip...
----- Get within lunging distance and press B-R-X
----- Start circle strafing and shooting your opponent
- If you don't have a full clip...
----- Start shooting, backing up as you fire
----- Get within lunging distance, and press B-X. Then crouch and press B again.
Midrange Combat
- If you are weak...
----- Try and find cover
----- Start strafing and shooting your opponent
----- Throw a grenade, and start backing up, shooting as you go
- If your opponent is weak...
----- Get within lunging distance and press B
----- Start running towards them and shooting them
- If you opponent is behind cover...
----- Throw two granades, one to cover each escape that your opponent may have. If they dodge one grenade, they will walk onto another one
Longrange Combat
- If you have host...
----- Zoom in and fire at your opponent's chest. Auto-aim will give you headshots
- If you don't have host...
----- Look down at the ground and run in a straight line to cover
----- Throw grenades towards the general area of your opponent, and back up as you go

All that is is a normal quadshot with an extra button (B). I don't see how that would be easier, but whatever floats your boat

The most common ways to quadshot are RRX YY RRX or RRX BX RRX. The second way is slower and more difficult, and it should only be done if you don't have a secondary weapon. (But it really makes NO sense to attempt a quadshot without a secondary weapon)

Lol I should post this on Bungie, just to laugh at the fanboys who hate button-comboers...
This is pretty sweet, and allowed me to learn some new stuff I never knew.

No, ask anybody, BRX is a lot easier and faster than BXR.

When you press BRX, basically you are meleeing and shooting at the same time, but the shooting animation doesn't happen untill you press X.

So to answer your original question of "what does the X do?", what the X does is switch from the melee animation to the shooting animation, which triggers the death animation for the other player. When you BRX somebody, you don't actually see them die until about a half second after you press X. But they actually die when you press X.

The whole point of weapon glitches is that pressing buttons in certain combinations confuses the game by throwing too much information at it at once. All you're doing when you Doubleshot or BXR someone is creating a time lapse between when you kill them and when they actually die.

And that's why BRX is faster than BXR.
