The way this will work:

-Double Elimination

-The tournament starts at 7pm EST Saturday 16th of February

-You have 10 minutes to show, if you do not you are DQ'd, but may show for your next match.

-It will be all played on Saturday

-Each series will be treated separately. If you already played a team, the score does NOT carry over. It counts as a new series.

-Because it is double elimination, the team coming from the losers bracket MUST beat the team that came from the winners bracket TWICE (in 2 separate series)

-The higher seed (chosen at random) will choose which game they host, the lower seed will host the other 2. (In case of Finals, higher seed picks 2 games, lower seed hosts other 3)

-If a host is determined unusable, the other team may host it if you both agree. If problems occur, invite me to the party and I will deal with it.

-If a player lags out, that team loses the specified match (unless it is at the very start of the game)

-Attempt to have your match done in 45 minutes!

-CTF will use GB rules.

-When you have completed your matches, you are to join my party. The winning AND loosing team. I don't care if you are angry you lost or not.

Games:

Winners Round 1:

Game 1- Construct Slayer
Game 2- The Pit Slayer
Game 3- Guardian Slayer

Winners Round 2, Losers Round 1:

Game 2- Guardian Slayer
Game 3- Construct Slayer

Winners Final, Losers Round 2:

Game 2- Stockpile Slayer
Game 3- Guardian Slayer

Losers Round 3:

Game 1- The Pit Slayer
Game 2- Guardian Slayer
Game 3- Construct Slayer

Losers Finals:

Game 1- Stockpile Slayer
Game 2- Construct Slayer
Game 3- Onslaught Slayer

Finals:

Game 1- Onslaught Slayer
Game 2- The Pit Slayer
Game 3- Construct Slayer

Winners Finals #2 (If needed):

Game 1- Stockpile Slayer
Game 2- Guardian Slayer
Game 3- Onslaught Slayer

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

2- Grenade Trampoline
3- Roxy and Tucker
4- Florida's Finest

I picked that 100% at random.

Q&A:

We are using MLG gametypes and maps. For Capture the Flag we will be using the GB settings (same as mlg except it is 15 minutes long instead of 30 minutes long). You can get these gametypes at mlgpro.com.

It is very hard to control host, but we will make an attempt. The higher seeded team will choose the game they want to host, and the lower seeded team hosts the other 2 (or tries to). These are the same rules as GB, and it works fine.

How MLG does it on lan and how they and GB do it online may be different. However that is the format we will use for this tournament. Most of us are friends here, so more then likely it will be easy to decide on a host anyway.

UPDATE!

-Due to recent changes in MLG settings, we will change to adapt to them. No longer will these 2v2's be played on Isolation or Narrows. They will be replaced with Stockpile and Onslaught.

-You will need the Foundry map to play in this event. I doubt it will cause any problems but if so I am deeply sorry.

-I have also changed it to double elimination, so you may be able to work your way back to win the tournament if you lose a match!

I will be re-doing the gametypes so that it fits the tournament format better, I will once again post when they are up!

Update!

I have now added the games, I hope they turn out ok.

I re-did the rules so that they fit the new double elimination style of tournament. READ AND UNDERSTAND THEM!

If you have any questions, feel free to post and I will add it to my Q&A post just below the main one!
