iv'e just got a new pc (iMac) i downloaded halo trial, just to play a game before i installed vista, but some servers that had like 100 ping were like a 33-66 ping server. i'm not sure if the pc makes somthing better with the connection or what? but this was amazing.

I really don't think so, and if so not by much. The lead is a netcode thing I thought, right? But maybe your computer has a better connectivity thing or is faster or something?

It also could be your pc, but then it's the processor and the video card who are better. but I highly doubt that it would be alot. (or you have a geforce 4000 atm and take the 8800)

You can have the best PC in the world, but if you've got a 56K connection then enjoy warping all over the map like the Star Trek Enterprise. A silky smooth framerate does help you aim and its rather nice, but remember that's not going to affect your latency or the netcode.
