Because if you good, you can tell every thing by just listening to the sounds. And the melee you would see the guy have a drop in shields. Have you ever tried to play with out a TV on a Warm up map with no cover? all you need to have is sound. I have played next to people who turned of thier TV and was facing away from me and still killing me. He could hear my foot steps, when I'm trying to beat him down, or reload. All of the subtle sounds he could hear. Being able to see some one only makes it easier.

dude your so full of **** its not funny. You know whats funny all the "good players" tell you that your not good if you cant play without sound, which would be exactly opposite of what your saying. In MLG you cant hear so good players play without sound. Also sometimes you punch someone and they move meaning you would not see their shields break, you seriously the dumbest person to ever grace these forums, you passed up slayer champ, and landers with flying colors, keep it up man you are setting the bar real high for the next idiot to grace these forums

How could he hear your footsteps? He had his tv off remember?

Even if they were using headphones most open eared high end head phones dont even have surround sound, but lets say these kids did have surround headphones, even if you know the general direction someone is coming, that does not mean you are going to kill them. Hell marity you are terrible and I could know you were coming behind me, but without seeing you even you would probably kill me because no way in hell could I land a shot.
