This may sound kinda stupid, but I am looking for a small group of people no more than 5, to put together the achievement ideas. We will work tactically to get everything in, equaling to 50 achievements for 1000 gamerpoints.
This thread isn't for discussion of the achievements, but basically for you to sign up to help out. We will talk a good bit, and basically do this to see how close we can get to what they will REALLY be.

can't you suggest ideas to Bungie ???

I havent read or used Xbox360's much but im getting one today. I think they should have ascending points for greater acheivements (obviously) but based on skill or fun. Some achievements for things like finding miscellaneous objects (somewhat like the soccer ball in halo 2(assuming these things will be in halo 3)) and for multiplayer things like truesoldier's said, but more realistic. I haven't had 10,000 snipes much less 100,000. 10 sticks in one game, 20 or more kills than deaths, 50 more kills than deaths, etc etc. That would make the gamerscore for halo 3 players a bit funner and might give some serious gamerscore people something to play for.

Wow, nice job, seems logical.

I don't know a lot about the 360, so could someone please explain how you use these points? I know one way is to change your gamertag, but what else do you use them for?

No to change your GT you have to use Microsoft Points. Those are very different from Gamerpoints. Microsoft Points you get by paying for them, and you use them to download/but stuff on the XBL Marketplace, such as new gamertags, arcade games, movies, dashboard backgrounds, demos, and stuff like that. Some of the stuff is free too.

Gamerpoints don't really give you any reward except adding points to your Gamerscore, which is part of your profile. When someone views your profile on XBO, they can look at what games you have played and what achievments you got in all of the games. You can't buy anything with these points, they're really just sort of for 'bragging rights.'
