Today is one of the biggest days of the year. It is when the whole school gets split into 4 teams and competes in all different games. Well, I got signed up for Halo and a few different things. So, I had first off and slept. Went to my class, went to a meeting, slept and then I get there. Keep in mind, no one plays MLG. Now, each event earns points for your team, so this is a big event. 4 people per team. Normal games, NO MLG! So, I get there because it is in front of my room and people are yelling for me to get there. Best of three.

No let me tell you this before I continue. Last time I played was some time in...January or February. I did get on last month, but only to play one game of Zombies and MLG, download the free maps...not really play

Anyway, I get there and there are a few people that play a lot. Good, but not great, like myself. So, I watch the first two teams play and the room I am in (because we are separate rooms to play...no cheating thing...), the team is based off of all people I know...actually I knew everyone. So, I am watching and they are split screening of a good size television (I played on it as well). They did an eh job. The first match was team slayer on epitath and they got their pink pansy asses handed to them on a silver platter. Second game, capture the flag on Narrows they won and the third game, they won.

Big deal? So, its my team up. Now, I am good and my friend Pitts (his last name...) are the only people that actually play. None of us actually have played in a while. We play against the people that all they do is play till 5am. Anyway, first game was the pit, team slayer. I did bad. First game in a few months. We got owned. Second game was CTF multi flag narrows, they whored the snipers and my teammates were bad. One went -13 and the other -9. I was like +1 or +2 the whole first time.

We lost the first round and I left. Hell, I didn't want to watch and personally thought we were out for good. I felt miserable. I really did because not cause I sucked at Halo, I could care less, but people were relying on me to get us easy points. Well, about a half hour later, maybe 45 minutes, I get back from chillin with some friends and go to my room to put stuff away, when I was screamed to come in.

Turns out the third round took forever because of a long CTF match on Valhalla and my team was still in the running. Well, I was angry and wanted to do good. First game was Team Slayer on construct. I absolutely demolished the other team. Right from the beginning I killed their whole team. No overkill or anything special, just a double. I was pissed. All I could hear was cursing from the other room. I was so angry. By the end, I went like 27 and 11. Nothing too impressive, but I was getting back.

Second game, CTF multiflag on High Ground. I ran for sniper. I am not the best, but I can be clutch for no apparent reason. Right away. I accidentally jerked (I swear to god, no freaking gay jokes over this or I will infract) the thumbstick and no scoped the laser saving my teammates ass. Well, I took advantage of the power weapons and was just backup. Killed a lot of my teammates, but it was worth it. We won easily.

Next round. These guys were talking **** about me when I wasn't even playing. Even when I showed up to watch them and prove I wasn't playing, they were still talking **** like saying kill tony, kill tony, I said I am right here, but they continued saying it.

Oh well, I watched and then my team was up. First game was Team slayer on last resort. I was like wtf is this? Who chooses it. Well, I wasn't on the ball with that game because I just don't play it...ever. I never had ammo and kept getting triple teamed from no where. I did though get enough kills to help my team win. Second game was CTF multi flag narrows. By the way, they love narrows...I don't know why. We basically had myself get rockets and my only other good teammate get sniper. We did pretty well. It was long, but a nice 3-2 victory with my sucky teammates and I coming up clutch. I mean clutch, they killed the flag guy away right as he was going to score, TWICE! I came in and held down the fort to return it. I am not saying I am amazing, but just the best in my school...easily

Last round. This was for all the marbles and it was best out of 5. I was scared, yet determined to win. First game was Team Slayer on construct. In the beginning, it was back and forth with the lead. Then towards the end, they started to pull away. It got to the point where it was 24-19 them. I was pissed because I didn't want to come in second overall for the second year. I wanted this year to be the year I would win. So, we were all top and they were bottom. I got extremely lucky by catching the sword guy off guard and getting his sword and battle rifle. Then it was at a stand still. They started throwing stuff up the lift. I made sure everyone was either at a distance or crouching. One guy came up, I sliced him up easy. Then, a few of my teammates got some lucky distance kills making it 24-23. One guy tried to sneak up and throw a power drainer down, but I saw him on my radar. My good teammate got a kill and tied it up and a second later, I jumped and killed the idiot. Game over. We won. First out of five.

The second was CTF multi flag on narrows. Since we lost to them before, we knew their strategy since they aren't good enough to change it. We took advantage of it and made a close and clutch game for the win 3-2 with me coming up clutch with shotty and passed my flag off to a teammate who scored. Two to nothing us, one more we win.

Well, winning didn't come easy. It was team hill on snowbound. I don't need to go into detail, but we got owned. Badly. They completely dominated us because they worked as a team and we didn't. 150-48. Ouch.

Game four, shotty, snipers on Valhalla. What a game it was. We started off getting owned. It was like 12-4. I am going to try to be modest, but I can't. I was freaking on fire. I really was. I am not the best with sniper and online, it shows, but I guess I am good on lan because I pwned. I was 22-9. We were down and they were chilling by pelican. I killed the one idiot by turret with the luckiest no scope that all my teammates actually stopped playing to say holy ****! I was flabbergasted. I then killed most of them from behind and assisted a lot. They all spawned on the other side of the rock cave thing by the turret and the base. I destroyed them until I got owned. We all came up big and started pulling away. Since they really had no strategy, but only stay together, we surrounded them and pwnt them. At the end, they tried to rely on shottys and hid in the base where we just game in and curb stomped them. We won.

No none of you all cares. I played other things too...flag football, soapy twister, capture the flag, and ultimate frisbee, but I won this and mostly cause of me. I realized that halo isn't fun unless you play with the people you know or with them there. I helped my team win and that was all that mattered. I thought it was intense...so was soapy twister...but that is a story I will only tell you if I ever meet you.

RL CTF > MLG CTF. It is sorta like Hide and Go Seek, Man Hunt, and Tag, all rolled into one. Also with the worry of getting the other teams flag and bringing it to your side.
