The larger any of the sites I run get the easier it might be to get into more "top tier" advertising programs at which point I would be doing a lot more giving away of money made via contests etc. But at this point it'd have to receive about 10 times the amount of traffic that it currently gets (which is near impossible lol...) to get into those programs.
The reason why people might think that this website makes a lot of money is because they see the advertisements and figure they must pay alot. But advertisers don't pay very much at all for video game based key words.
Anyway... enough about the money. I started this site because I love Halo and I felt we could offer something different than other halo communities do.

i know nothing about running a web site, but have always been very interested. just a question, what if you combined all your halo websites into one. do you think you could get the traffic needed to get bigger ads? i mean i dont see much of a difference in hb and gv. i mean we talk about other games on hb all the time besides just halo. just a thought/question. i was also wondering about merchandise. i have been in rock bands all my life and we made most of our money from selling shirts/cd/keychains/bumper stickers. i know it might be a waste of money for you since you have so many web sites with a large gaming community thinned out amongst them. but if you ever thought about combining some of them, merch would be a pretty good idea for money. i would rep all sorts of hb merch. my '08 jeep wrangler unlimited would look rape with a hb bumper sticker, lol
