is there a thing to click to play the game online built into the game itself, or do you have to dl an outside program on your computer, use either a router or a crossover cable to connect your pc to your xbox and then emulate the game is being played on lan.

If the game has a built in online multiplayer option then the game has netcoding. I know Halo PC has that, while halo ce for xbox does not.
