True that. Although Achievements are fun and challenging to unlock (depending on what game you play), Halo 3's Achievements aren't that impressive and quite a number of people have it, so it's not that impressive to even wear the armor. I'll always stick with the Mark VI despite the other army although I do like the CQB set (and if I somehow attain the Recon headpiece due to the grace of Bungie staff maybe I'll flaunt that to my friends once in a while).
